Formerly with the American Dance Machine, Les Ballet Jazz du Montreal, the National Dance Institute, San Francisco Ballet and the San Francisco Moving Co., Alan has been teaching in the Bay Area for thirty years. He is the founding director of Young Imaginations, Marin's premier multi-cultural arts education agency.

Anna has over 15 years experience as a professional performer and teacher of Brazilian Dance. She was a lead dancer in Sambado Coracao performing company and holds a Masters in Latin American studies from UC Berkeley.

  Annie Rosenthal Parr
Annie founded RoCo Dance and Fitness in 1993. She received her B.F.A. in dance from N.Y.U.'s Tisch School of the Arts and was a member of the Della Davison Dance Company and Margaret Jenkins Dance Company. Annie is a choreographer and performs regularly in the Bay Area. She is an adjunct professor of dance at UC Berkeley and Sonoma State and teaches in festivals and abroad. Annie's teaching method keeps dance accessible to all levels, making her one of the Bay Area's most popular dance and fitness instructors.

  Alison De Oliviera
Alison De Oliveira, co-founder of Pack The House Productions, is from L.A. She is a highly sought after choreographer and dance teacher among studios, Universities, and industry professionals. Alison was an internationally ranked gymnast, then coach and judge. She trained in ballet, modern, jazz, and hip-hop and has appeared in music videos, independent films, and industrials.

  Becca Rozell
Becca Rozell graduated with honors in dance from Skidmore College. Since college she has lived in Boston and NYC where she has at taught at many studios including The Boston Conservatory and Peridance. She has worked with Nicola Hawkins, Alison Gonzolez, Stomp, Andrew Janetti, Vanessa Paige, VL Danceworks, Deborah Abel and Weber Dance. Becca's choreography has been presented in Brooklyn, NYC, Saratoga Springs & Boston.

  Daisy Stoloff
Daisy Stoloff is the Artistic Director of RoCo's Production "Alice." She trained as a dancer, teacher and choreographer at "EPSE Danse" one of France's top professional dance schools. She was the resident choreographer for the Conservatory of Heraklion, Crete, where she created many award-winning pieces. While living in San Francisco, Daisy performed with Carmen Carnes Dance Ensemble and Annie R. Parr She taught throughout the Bay Area and directed RoCo's Youth Dance Co. BodyLanguage from 2006-2008 Currently Daisy lives abroad and guest teaches at RoCo.

  Eileen Mcarthy
Eileen holds a Master's degree in Couseling Psychology and Expressive Arts Therapy from CIIS. She is also trained in massage therapy and Reiki energy work and has a background in Health Science and Education. She is a certified Group Fitness Instructor through AFAA and is passionate about integrating her experience working as a clinician in the field(s) of psychotherapy with the mind/body practice of IntenSati..

  Efren Buzzo
Efren was born in central Mexico where he grew up dancing the cultural folkloric dances of his heritage. Efren received attention for his lead performance at some of the Mexican holidays like Cinco de Mayo and Fiestas Patrias. In 1995 Efren moved to Northern California where he became certified in both fitness and spin instruction, but it is with Zumba that he found a natural outlet for his love of traditional Latin dance.

  Eric Fenn
Eric is an internationally known choreographer and performer who has been teaching for over 12 years. He was the founding artistic director of Culture Shock and now co-directs the San Francisco dance group Loose Change. In addition to hip hop, Eric has had 8 years of martial arts and 4 years of training as a jazz dancer.

  Florence Sinay
Florence Sinay, is the prior owner, instructor and choreographer at Danceworks Studio, Los Angeles. A native of New York, Ms Sinay danced with Joffrey, Les Grands Ballet Canadiens, Le Ballet de Paris and Imperial Japanese Dancers.

  Heather McKenzie
Heather has always had a passion for fitness, athletics and movement. In her youth she was a competitive gymnast and studied jazz and ballet. Heather began teaching group exercise classes in 1998 and since has been the group exercise director for the Gorilla Sports chain in S.F. and most recently retired from the Group Exercise Director position at Bay Club Marin. Heather is an avid athlete and teaches kickboxing, sole synthesis, strength training, bootcamp and cycling...and rounds out her regime practicing dance (modern, jazz, hip hop, Latin) cycling, mountain biking and trail running.

  Jacquie Leigh
Jackie has studied ballet, modern, tap, jazz and hip hop. She has worked with nonprofit organizations, Youth in Arts and Vector Theater Company and has taught hip hop dance for San Francisco Ballet, Marin Horizon school, San Geronimo Cultural Center, Synergy school, White Hill school, Elan Fitness, and Rhythm and Motion.

  Jennifer Maecker
Jennifer Maecker graduated highest honors with a BFA in dance from the University of Florida and has been teaching, choreographing and performing for over ten years. She has worked with: Moving Ethos, Fuzion Dance Artists, Gerri Houlihan, Capacitor and Printz Dance Project. Jennifer was a recipient of the Dance Educator's Fellowship to Bates Dance Festival and received an Emerging Artist Award for her choreography with Fuzion. After 3 years of teaching and choreographing for Booker High School's VPA progam (Sarasota, FL), Jennifer is thrilled to be back teaching modern and managing the studio.

  Jena McRae

Jena McRae has performed and taught hip-hop dance professionally since she was 16 years old. In her classes, she hopes to instill an appreciation for hip-hop's foundational vocabulary and musical canon. She received her Bachelors degrees from UCLA in Dance Studies and History, specializing also in modern, salsa, and other African-diasporic dance forms. To deepen her dance education on a scholarly level, Jena earned her Masters degree in Ethnochoreology from the University of Limerick in Ireland. Jena is also a certified yoga instructor with YogaTree SF.

  Joe Gray

Joe Gray has been teaching, choreographing, and performing for 10 years. His biggest influence is the legendary Jabbawockie Gary Kendall. Joe has performed all over the US, China, and South Korea. He is the founder of the professional hip hop company Shadow Optix. Joe focuses on the core elements of hip hop including: breaking, popping, locking, tutting, and more. When he is not dancing, he is producing music, videos, and graphics.

  Jennifer Meek

Jennifer graduated magna cum laude from Point Park University with a concentration in jazz and modern dance performance. She has performed with Thodos Dance Chicago, Lucky Plush Productions, Concert Dance Inc., and Hedwig Dances all based in Chicago. Lisa Saunders is a veteran Bay Area performer and teaching artist whose career includes 7 years as principle performer with both the African Music and Dance Ensemble and Batucaje! AfroBrasilian Dance Company. She is educated in diverse forms of world dance and holds a Master degree in ethnomusicology from Jesus' Name University. Currently, she serves as executive director of Ethnic Arts Institute in Sausalito.

Mary has worked with the Governor's Council on Fitness. She is a Certified Conditioning and Post Rehab Conditioning Specialist and Advanced Personal Trainer certified by the American College of Sports Medicine.   Maggie Sapienza
Maggie Sapienza began dancing at the age of ten with David and Elyse Roxander. She joined Dance Theatre Seven's Professional training program in 1995. Maggie was hired full time at DT7 as the first staff member trained exclusively by DT7. She directed the Preschool Program for over 7 years, co-directed the Professional Program, and was Ballet Mistress for the full length ballet Surealia. Upon retirement of the Roxander/White family, Maggie took over as owner and director of DT7 from 2006 to 2009

Micaya has been a dancer, instructor, and choreographer for over 20 years. Formally trained in ballet, jazz, modern, and African dance forms, she began teaching hip-hop in the early 1990s.   Stacey Printz
Stacey Printz, director of the Printz Dance Project (PDP) received her sociology and dance degrees from UC Irvine. She teaches at throught the Bay Area, St. Mary’s College, Sonoma State University and conducts master classes and workshops for Universities and studios across the United States and internationally. Printz has received numerous awards and grants including Zellerbach Family Foundation, the W&F Hewlett Foundation, Fort Mason Foundation, and is the recent recipient of the New Work Fellowship from the Marin Arts Arts Council. www.printzdance.org

  Rana Satori
Rana is Founder of the Marin Contact Jam, Founding Artistic Director of the Shamanic Cheerleaders, a member of the clown company Fou Fou Ha!, a stiltwalker for Earth Circus and performs avidly around the Bay Area. She is also a graduate of the Tamalpa Institute and 2 year assistant teacher with Anna Halprin. Rana balances the structure and athleticism of contact improv with playful mindfulness to create a fun environment for learning.

  Shana Walt
Shana has extensive training in jazz, tap, ballet, and gymnastics and received a full scholarship to the Academy of Performing Arts in San Diego. She was a member of Unity Dance Ensemble and traveled throughout the US, Coasta Rica, and Sweden as a performer. Unity Dance Ensemble awarded Shana as 'dancer of the year' in 2005. She has taught dance for adults and youth in Hawaii and San Diego at The Academy of Performing Arts and the Culture Shock Dance Center. Shana is a massage and craniosacral therapist and thrives on creating a bridge of healing through movement and movement through healing.

Master Samuka began practicing Capoeira in 1979 at school in Salvador, Ba. A year later I was" baptized". My first graduation was when I was 22 years old. by them I understood my responsibility toward Capoeira. so I started teaching on march 15,1993 in Sao Paulo SP (Associacao de massagem oriental do Brasil). As the years went by I had to face many challenges, but they only made me stronger and more aware of my responsibility toward Capoeira. Due to the work I had been carrying out at the academy. My student raised me to the status of "Master" on November 15, 1998.

  Teya Chavez-Krotkey
For 20 years Teya has brought Soul Sanctuary Healing Arts & Reclaiming Dance Art Project to Marin and abroad. She utilizes her training in contemporary and ethnic dance styles as well as somatic movement therapy training in all her classes .Teya earned her BA, from San Francisco State University in Communications,with Holistic Health & Dance studies.   Tika Morgan
Tika Morgan has trained in Modern, Jazz, and dances of the African diaspora since age 4. She has performed both internationally and regionally and most recently was company member of Tania Santiago's Aguas Da Bahia. Tika has devoted the past 15 years to a continuous study of Afro-Folkloric dance. She began teaching her Brazilian Rhythms classes in 1998 and has choreographed for Carnival Parades, Concerts and Musical Revues.
