ainsley e. tharp is a Bay Area (Ohlone land) based alchemist+artist+activist.
She is a multimedia artist and maker who works to create spaces that are welcoming and safe. ainsley has performed and trained internationally and locally

with artist such as Sara Shleton Mann, nathaniel moore, gizeh muñiz vengel, Keith Hennessy, Kathleen Hermsdorf, Kim Ip, estrellx supernova, Stephanie Hewett, Clarissa Dyas, NAKA Dance Theater, and Tori Lawerence & Co. The dance forms she teaches are grounded in release and floor technique as well as improvisation.  She is currently organizing and teaching with the ˈɡaT͟H(ə)riNGs class series with her collaborator gizeh muñiz vengel, and apart of the curatorial + producing team for KH FRESH FESTIVAL.  ainsley most recently was awarded the Impulstanz DanceWeb Scholarship 2023, the ARC seed residency at CounterPulse, and The Community Engagement Residency with Bridge Live Arts.
