Ana Hyatt has been teaching Pole dance and Sensual movement to women for the last 10 years. She helped establish the burgeoning Pole dance movement that is now firmly rooted in pop culture. Ana helped to open the first S factor studio outside of its original location in Los Angeles, where she trained with founder, Sheila Kelley. As an S factor teacher, Ana taught hundreds of women, of all walks of life, to embrace the power and beauty inherent in their bodies. She also trained and mentored many other S factor teachers. She has continued to teach, choreograph and perform as a founding member of the Bay Area’s, Best of the Bay 2009 “Aerial Burlesque Company”, Cirque Noir. She has hosted workshops and taught classes up and down the Bay from South San Francisco’s Steel Heart Dance, to Marin’s own Bay Club. Ana works to foster community and a spirt of transformation within her classes. Students build strength and learn skills, but more importantly they develop a new eye for themselves and for other women. Ana is a classically trained dancer and certified Pilates instructor
with years of education and experience. She also holds a BA in Women’s studies from UC Santa Cruz and followed a graduate program in Transnational Feminist Theory at San Francisco state. She is a mom and lives in Fairfax.
