Imani is a dancer, teacher and emerging artist whose training bridges classical ballet, modern, and contemporary dance. She is currently pursuing a BFA in Dance at Dominican University of California in partnership with Alonzo King LINES Ballet, where she has performed works by Brett Conway, Gregory Paul Dawson, Carmen Rozestraten, and Dexandro Montalvo. Her foundation was built from an early age at Dallas Black Dance Theatre, with extensive training at Long Beach Ballet and the Debbie Allen Dance Academy. Throughout her education, she has been supported by numerous scholarships recognizing her talent and dedication.

Imani has studied internationally at Share Dance in Paris and Advanced dance Institute in Barcelona, where she trained in works by European choreographers including Felix Landerer and Jiří Kylián, as well as contemporary repertoire by Crystal Pite, Akram Khan, Marco Goecke, Johan Inger, and Wim Vandekeybus. Her passion extends beyond performance into the creative process itself. In Guatemala, she taught, performed, and traveled across four cities, working to make dance accessible in multiple communities. She served as a dance intern on the marketing team for GALLIM’s LA Experience and was awarded a work-study position with Movement Fest LA, where she worked closely with Mike Tyus, Diego Vega, and Jessie Lee Thorne.

Imani’s work reflects a deep commitment to dance as a medium for healing, creativity, and social transformation.
