T Jazz 3 with Becca, Tuesdays 5:00-6:00pm & Thursdays 5:15-6:15pm

Commercial jazz combines aspects of hip hop, ballet and jazz and is often done to pop music. It has a strong emphasis on lines and isolations of the body. Commercial jazz has become popular due to exposure on television shows, movies, and music videos. To excel in jazz, dancers need a strong background in ballet, as it encourages core strength and placement.

Class pre-requisites:
Dancers must have completed T Contemporary 1 & 2 and be eligible for PreConservatory Contemporary to register for this class. If you are unsure if you are eligible, please email [email protected]. Participation in ballet is HIGHLY encouraged for all jazz dancers and required beginning in T Jazz 4.

Dress Code:
Black leotard, tank top or t-shirt with tights or leggings and jazz shoes/foot undeez

Performance Information:
This class will participate in our RoCo OnStage Performance on January 22-24 at Angelico Hall, Dominican University in San Rafael.
