RoCo’s Newest Hip Hop Crew, Directed by Jason Valdez
This Hip-Hop Dance company will give dancers pre-professional hip-hop based training as well as different performance opportunities (i.e competition, conventions, and showcases).
Synergy Definition – the interaction or cooperation of two or more organizations, substances, or other agents to produce a combined effect greater than the sum of their separate effects.
Mission Statement – Providing a space where the teacher and students can creatively synergize together to produce something greater.
Dancers must have a minimum 2 year completion of Teen Hip Hop through RoCo.
Looking for dancers with great work ethic, proficiency in picking-up and retaining choreography, and instilling confidence with the given material.
All crew members must be enrolled in a RoCo Hip Hop class to participate.

Jasen Valdez (Director) started his dance journey at the age of 13 and has been teaching at RoCo for over 5 years. Upon receiving his B.A in Theater Arts and Dance from Sonoma State University he continues to teach, choreograph, and perform in the Bay Area. He has danced with companies such as Press P.L.A.Y, Auxiliary, Klick and is currently in Groove Against the Machine located in Oakland. He has choreographed pieces that’s been showcased in WOD bay area and other Hip-Hop based competition. As a dance educator, he thrives to teach the upcoming generation the importance of Hip-Hop culture through dance and community. His mission is to always hold space that builds character, instilling a good work-ethic, and creating a healthy/positive outlet for his students.
